Year end awards

Our year-end awards program is a fun and popular reward for all the hard work riders put in during the show season. Year end awards are given for classes listed as classes and also for Divisions. An example of our divisions are Walk Trot, Youth 13 and Under, Youth 14 -18, Hunt, Saddleseat, Western, Specific Breeds, etc. (Check out our rulebook for details!) In October, at seasons end, we host a fun-filled Championship Show to present awards at the Ashland County fairgrounds. We also hold a banquet to present some of the awards and to honor all of the recipients. Riders, trainers, families, and friends all join in the celebration!

In addition to our championships and division awards, we honor the following special awards:

- Horse of the Year - Awarded to the horse who earns the most points in all of the classes combined at our shows throughout the year.

- Reserve Horse of the Year - Awarded to the horse who earns the second most points in all of the classes combined at our shows throughout the year.

- The COSCA Awards Program is open to all members.

- Points for year-end awards begin to accumulate once we receive your membership form. Riders join as a member and add their horse or horses so that points accumulate for divisional awards.

- Members may also sign up for a lifetime Certificate of Merit for their horse (see rulebook for details)

- To be eligible for an award in a division, riders must be a member and have competed in that division at a minimum of three COSCA shows during the year.

- Points will be awarded 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1 in all classes.
