Barbara “Barb” Dull
Barbara “Barb” Dull
(nee Aungst), joined all musical angels in heaven Wednesday,
November 3, 2010 surrounded by her family. She was born
December 9, 1941 to Paul and Marian (nee Earl) Aungst at
Lodi Hospital.
She was an active and musical 1959
graduate of Buckeye High School. She married Frank “Butch” Dull
on February 27, 1960 at St. Francis Xavier Church. Butch
and Barb raised their children and grandchildren on her parent’s
family farm in York Twp. surrounded by their animals.
Music, cats, horses, feeding geese
and her family were her life! There were piano recitals,
the clarinet and accompanying many musicians in various
programs. Her music provided joy to the congregation of St.
Francis Church where she was organist for 48 years; every
week she got to accompany the adult and children choirs at
mass. She became a horse show organist and loved to put the
beat of her music to the beat of the horse’s hooves.
Her cats and the geese were treated very well and provided
her life-long joy. “Gas Tank”, especially, will
miss her terribly.
She was a long time member of the
Central Ohio Saddle Club Association (COSCA) and was point
secretary for many years. Her undying support of her family
in horses and shows will be remembered always. Barb even
found time to make sure she was present at her chil dren’s
and grandchildren’s school activities, especially
band and sports. She also enjoyed their 4-H work and demo
derbies.
Aside from her husband and her mom,
she is survived by her daughters, Becky (Larry) and Bonnie
(Randy); her son, Brian; her cherished grandchildren, Lynn
and Jason Plummer and Tyler and Cody Haury, all of the farm
in York Twp.; brother, Ron (Rose) of Tallmadge and nephew,
William (Kathy) of Barberton.
She was preceded in death by her
father, Paul Aungst and her husband’s parents,
Dayton and Dragina Dull.
